http://www.amherstdaily.com/Canada---World/Business/2010-05-20/article-1135916/Rain-helps-crews-tame-Saskatchewan-forest-fire/1

Rain has helped crews tame a forest fire that has been burning north of Prince Albert in Saskatchewan.

A spokeswoman for the Environment Department says the blaze is now being held, although she cautions there are still some hot spots.
About 50 firefighters are still on the ground near Redwing, where 50 to 60 homes had to be evacuated when the flames first roared to life on Monday.
Residents have been allowed to return.
Officials have deemed the fire accidental as it appears to have ignited in a garage and destroyed the nearby house.

Canada ready to deport U.S. deserters

Since leaving his unit in Iraq and fleeing to Canada two years ago, Corey Glass has become the poster boy of the war resisters movement. Thursday in Toronto, supporters are planning to protest his scheduled deportation back to the United States.
But, it turns out Glass has had little reason to be on the lam, ABC News has learned.

Unknown to him and his legion of supporters, Glass, who is 25,was actually discharged from the U.S. Army shortly after he went AWOL in 2006.
